地震によって引き起こされた津波による福島の原子力発電所の事故は日本に住む人だけでなく、世界中に大きな問題を提起しました。
エネルギー資源の乏しい経済大国、日本にとって、人々が求めている現在の豊かな社会を維持するにはエネルギーが不可欠です。コストが安く、Co2を出さない原子力エネルギーは廃棄物の問題を除けば、とても魅力です。しかし、我々は安全と思っていた原発事故により大きな問題を突き付けられました。現在、世界の多くの国で代替エネルギーへの挑戦が始まり、エネルギーは人類にとって早急の問題となっています。そして、地球に住む私達は問題に気付いているにもかかわらず、あたかも何も問題が無いかのように日々の生活を送っています。
この展覧会では、団DANSの新進作家達が作品を通じて、エネルギー問題への葛藤、将来への展望や希望を取り上げています。この展覧会がエネルギー問題を考えるチャンスになる事を希望しています。

The accident of nuclear power station in Fukushima, caused by tsunami following the big earthquake raised a problem not only in Japan but also the countries all over the world.
For Japanese, who live in a country which has an economic power but hasn’t any oil, energy is indispensable to keep our affluent life. The nuclear power, which is low cost and Co2 free, is tempting though it has an unsolved problem of its waste. We believed that nuclear power was very safe until the crisis happened. In many countries in the world are challenging alternative energies as the energy problem is a very urgent issue for human beings. But most of us, who lives in this world, is spending everyday as if nothing serious is happening.
The emerging Japanese artists of Dandans, show their conflict, aspect and hope for the future through their art works. We hope this exhibition propose a chance to think over the energy together.
