The Japanese well-known novelist Banana Yoshimoto is taking part in Internationales Literaturfestival Berlin (Sep. 09-19, 2015). She will present her book Moshi Moshi Shimokitazawa and tell us as Shimokitazawa-citizen the culture and tradition of the city, considered as the one of the hot fancy spots in Tokyo Prefecture.
This event will take the form of questions and answers: Banana will be questioned in German and her answers in Japanese will be translated to German simultaneously.

Two days before Banana’s appearance another Japanese novelist Masatugu Ono, who won of the Akutagawa Prize in this year, will introduce his priced/awarded work A Prayer Nine Years Ago also at this Berliner literature festival.
